SIPC is saddened to share the passing of Christian Mathieu (1946 - 2020), great perfumer with a very discreet character. Christian Mathieu started his career as a perfumer at IFF, an experience during which he signed some beautiful classics of perfumery, such as Jacomo pour Homme (1980), Coeur de Parfum / Parfum Rare by Jacomo (1987). It was during his experience at Roure Bertrand Dupont, that he created Kenzo pour Homme in 1991, a legendary perfume according to The Fragrance Foundation, an emblematic woody marine composition, a true icon, still in the spirits and still very popular. Then Christian joined Takasago in Paris, to write beautiful creations, as Insensé Ultramarine by Givenchy (1994), Elements Aqua by Boss (1996), Venezia Uomo by Laura Biagiotti in 1995 and Individuality Earth by Jovan in 2000.

With this few lines, SIPC would like to pay tribute to him, because Christian Mathieu leaves a fine legacy to perfumery.
